March 24th-27th, 2010

Joshua Tree National Park is a very special place for those who love nature and landscape photography. The natural features and flora of the upper Mojave Desert offers us unlimited opportunities to pursue our craft.

Bill Wight has an intimate knowledge of Joshua Tree National Park, having visited and photographed there for over 30 years. Bill can show you its highlights and hidden secrets. We will be able to do great photography from close to the parking areas as well as having the opportunity to take short walks and hikes to more remote places. We will fit the field shooting site locations to the needs and desires of the participants. We will once again have a very low student-to-instructor ratio. We will be able to give you a lot of one-on-one instruction, both in the field and the classroom.

The workshop package includes tuition and four field breakfasts and lunches. Evening meals and lodging are not included. We will use the Twentynine Palms Best Western Hotel as our base. Our group rate will be $104 per night for a standard room. This is the high season for the Joshua Tree area and you need to let us know as soon as possible if you wish to attend as rooms in the hotels and motels in the area fill up with tourists visiting the park to see the wildflowers. We have worked a contract with the Best Western Hotel where you will not be penalized for canceling if you give them 24 hours of notice. We will eat our evening meal together in local restaurants. Spouses are welcome to join us for dinner. The workshop package for four full days of instruction and breakfasts and lunches is $680.
